A keyword “match” only matters if it’s backed by evidence in your bullets. Use this framework to surface missing themes and decide where they belong.

How to “scan” keywords the right way

    1. Pull the nouns: tools, systems, domains (e.g. “Snowflake”, “stakeholders”, “B2B SaaS”).
    2. Pull the verbs: what you’re expected to do (e.g. “optimize”, “forecast”, “ship”, “own”).
    3. Pull the outcomes: what success looks like (e.g. “reduce cycle time”, “increase conversion”).

    Where to add them

    • Summary: only the top 2–3 themes that define your fit.
    • Skills: canonical skill names (easy scanning).
    • Experience bullets: the best place—because it’s proof, not just words.

    What to avoid

    • Stuffing: listing tools you don’t actually have experience with.
    • Keyword soup: adding long lists under “Skills” with no supporting bullets.
