    Resume Bullet Points (Examples)

Strong bullets are evidence. Here are templates and before/after examples you can adapt to your own experience (without inventing impact).

    The core template

Use: Action + Scope + Tools + Outcome.

    Before → after examples

    • Before: “Created reports for leadership.”
After: “Built weekly KPI reporting (SQL + Looker) for 10+ stakeholders to track pipeline, forecast risk, and unblock go-to-market decisions.”
    • Before: “Improved onboarding process.”
After: “Redesigned onboarding checklist and automation, reducing time-to-first-value from 14 days to 6 days and cutting escalations by 18%.”
    • Before: “Worked with cross-functional teams.”
After: “Partnered with Product + Engineering to ship event tracking and experiment instrumentation across 6 key flows, improving data reliability for growth decisions.”

    When you don’t have numbers

    • Quantify scope: volume, frequency, stakeholders, geography, or complexity.
    • Quantify process: cycle time, throughput, defect rate, SLAs, time saved.
    • Use ranges if needed (and defensible).

    Make bullets match the job

The best bullets mirror the job description’s real requirements. Read Resume Keywords & Job Match and use Job Description Matcher.
